Part-Time Education Programs Coordinator

POSITION INFORMATION: 

The primary responsibility of the Education Programs Coordinator is to develop and administer all school, family and public educational programming.  

The Education Programs Coordinator reports directly to and works closely with the Executive Director to develop program schedules and objectives.  

RESPONSIBILITIES: 

The Education Coordinator's duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:  

Planning and facilitation of K-12 school outreach programming.   

Assists in the planning and facilitation of all other education programs such as family activity days, public lectures, teacher in-service workshops, monthly musical programs, etc.  

Oversees museum tours and gallery activities for school and public audiences of all ages.  

WORKING CONDITIONS: 

Job is to be performed in small museum and off-site at a variety of locations. The employee must be able to occasionally lift and move up to 25 lbs. of educational supplies. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally exposed to outdoor weather conditions 

 

REQUIREMENTS: 

BA or BSE in either: Museum Studies, Education, or History.  

Strong organizational, interpersonal, creative and communication skills  

Knowledge of museum best practices and standards  

Valid drivers license and willing to travel  

Available for occasionally required evening and weekend work  

 

Flexible hours @ $18 per hour.
