Event Details

Effective advocacy doesn’t always require a megaphone—but it does require intention, preparation, and the confidence to show up. Join Alexandra Coon and Melody Reed for this webinar to help demystify the advocacy process, covering how to prepare for meetings, do basic research, schedule conversations, and make the most of face-to-face time—even when you don’t have a specific ask in mind.
Learn practical strategies for follow-up, communication etiquette, and keeping lines of dialogue open while navigating the very real emotional weight of advocating for arts and culture in today’s climate. Grounded in honesty, encouragement, and real-world tools, this session will leave attendees energized, informed, and ready to take meaningful action for effective engagement—no matter their role, experience level, or budget.
