Organization Overview
In 2003, volunteers rallied to save the 1933 Brazoria Elementary School building. Under the leadership of Dr. Robert Schwebel, the complex was converted into a Civic Center and Museum. Many of the facilities are rented to either long-term tenants or for community events. The museum focuses on Brazoria's heritage as the Cradle of Texas, dating its history to 1828 when it was founded by John Austin.
