Carl G. Hamm, CFRE
Partner, Alexander Haas

With more than 35 years of experience in senior management, development, marketing,
external affairs and consulting positions, Carl Hamm joined Alexander Haas in 2019.
Prior to joining the firm, Carl most recently served as deputy director for development
and external affairs for the Saint Louis Art Museum. He has held senior roles with the
Fort Worth Museum of Science and History, Dallas Museum of Art, and Children’s
Medical Center of Dallas, following years of development and marketing positions in the
performing arts. His current and former clients include the Georgia O’Keeffe Museum,
Curtis Institute of Music, American Folk Art Museum, Delaware Art Museum, Mint
Museum, San Antonio Museum of Art, the University of Texas at San Antonio, and the
Naples Botanical Garden, among others. In addition to his work with Alexander Haas,
Carl has been the senior director of advancement for Grace Community School in Tyler,
Texas since 2021.

Carl serves on the Editorial Review board for Giving USA and on the Texas Association of
Museums board. He is a former chair of the Standing Professional Committee for
Development and Membership for the American Alliance of Museums and a past
president of the Art Museum Development Association. Holding CFRE accreditation
since 1998, Carl has written and presented extensively on giving over the years.
