Professional Bio
Lori Hamm-Neckar serves as distance learning specialist for the Education Service Center Region 11. Lori has been with ESC Region 11 for 31 years. She was essential in the inception and development of the Connect2Texas educational content enhancement project. With Lori’s leadership, Connect2Texas has had phenomenal success since its 2006 induction. Currently with more than 15,000 active members and 20 content providers, they have reached over 3.5 million students around the world!
Lori takes great pride in always providing an outstanding level of service. She is known for her timely and quick responses to each client’s needs and concerns. Her professionalism has helped build connections with educators from all 50 states in the U.S and over 12 different countries.
Lori earned her associates degree from Computer Learning Center and graduated with Summa Cum Laude honors. She has a Networking Engineering and Management degree and is a Microsoft Certified Professional.
Accomplishments:
Designed and created the Connect2Texas logo
Developed and handled marketing campaigns to expand videoconferencing opportunities from Connect2Texas providers
Facilitated Connect2Texas growth from 5 providers in 2006 to 26 providers
Dramatically increased Connect2Texas outreach from approximately 10,000 students a year to over 320,000 students per year
Extensive experience handling a variety of different clientele through various levels of communication, from administrators to teachers and parents
ESC Region 11/Connect2Texas received Outstanding Commitment to Excellence and Innovation in Distance Learning by nonprofit organization awards in 2006 and 2014 from the Texas Distance Learning Association
2015 Outstanding Educator from the George H.W. Bush Presidential Library and Museum
2019 Texas Computer Education Association Technical Support Person of the Year
