TAM 2026 - Relic Wranglers at the Weslaco Museum
The Texas Association of Museums’ Collections Managers Committee (CMC) is bringing the Relic Wranglers initiative back to TAM 2026. The Relic Wranglers program is designed to provide hands-on collections support to a selected museum in the host city of the TAM Annual Conference.
The Relic Wranglers are excited to announce their 2026 project with the Weslaco Museum. This year’s project will focus on the inventorying, cataloging, and photographic documentation of the museum’s military collection. Artifacts include historic photographs, paper documents, field artillery objects, and textiles. You can learn more about the museum here: https://www.weslacomuseum.org.
The CMC is currently accepting volunteer applications from TAM members to assist with this year's project. Applications are open now through March 20, 2026.
