TAM CMC Launches Relic Wranglers Initiative
The Texas Association of Museums’ Collections Managers Committee (CMC) is launching the Relic Wranglers initiative — a program designed to provide hands-on collections support to museums in the host city of the TAM Annual Conference.
Each year, the Relic Wranglers team will roll up their sleeves to assist a local museum with projects such as cataloging, rehousing, inventorying, or preventive care. This initiative not only strengthens a partner museum’s capacity but also offers a unique opportunity for museum professionals to collaborate, share expertise, and learn from one another in the field.
The CMC is currently seeking site applications from museums interested in receiving this support during the next TAM Annual Conference. Applications are open now through December 31, 2025.
For those eager to get involved, the call for volunteers will be announced soon — stay tuned for more details on how you can join the Relic Wranglers team!
