Duties include assisting with the development of a robust and successful grant and donor program; researching, identifying, and soliciting corporate, foundation and government grants; utilizing clear, structured and persuasive writing and a detail-oriented approach when producing grant proposals to advance the City’s cultural attractions, museum system and historic sites; and maintaining a list of institutional credit lines and ensuring appropriate acknowledgement requirements are met. Duties also include providing revenue and expenditure data; assisting with funding estimations for annual budgets; and helping staff develop grant project budgets. A Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in a relevant field of study; two years of institutional fundraising and grant writing experience; including prior experience working with institutional donors required. Proficiency with current word processing, presentation, spreadsheet and database programs, particularly Microsoft Office Suite and Adobe DC essential. A résumé must be submitted with application.

Since opening its doors, the Arts Center has been a lively hub of community celebration. Irving Arts Center alone hosts approximately 1,400 events annually, including 200+ performances and 25+ exhibitions, welcoming more than 100,000 visitors. Irving Archives & Museum’s mission is to engage visitors through thought-provoking programs and dynamic exhibits that explore the history and evolving culture of our community and our region. The museums include the new Irving Archives & Museum, the Ruth Paine House Museum, the Jackie Townsell Bear Creek Heritage Center, and the Mustangs of Las Colinas Museum and Visitors Center.


·         Individuals hired into this position will receive $500 after their first 30 days of employment provided there are no documented attendance or disciplinary issues.

·         Employees that successfully complete their 6-month orientation period will receive an additional one-time payment of $500 provided there are no documented attendance or disciplinary issues.

·         Employees that successfully complete one year of employment without documented attendance or disciplinary issues will receive an additional one-time payment of $500.

·         The maximum amount of hiring incentive that an individual employee may receive is $1,500.
